The Journal of Catholic Higher Education (JCHE) is the peer-reviewed, interdisciplinary, semi-annual journal of the Association. It is the only international journal dedicated solely to the distribution of scholarly work and commentary with a focus on contemporary Catholic higher education in the United States and around the world.

In this JCHE volume, we are pleased to offer a special issue focused on service-learning and community engagement in Catholic higher education. The authors explore emerging research priorities for the field, the application of Pope Francis’s vision of social friendship and political love to community-based learning, the role of the “triple language” of mind, hands, and heart in Catholic community engagement, and the transformative impact of community-engaged learning in graduate business education. The volume concludes with Pope Francis’s address to the Uniservitate Global Symposium, offering reflections on the future of Catholic education and service.
