As key thought partners for ACCU Presidents, spouses benefit from opportunities to build connections and access resources that support them in their roles. Many spouses manage their own careers while navigating the role of presidential spouse, while others take on the position full-time. In all cases, ACCU seeks to offer a collaborative community of support to spouses.
About the Spouse Track at Our Annual Meeting
Each year, spouses are invited to gather during the ACCU Annual Meeting for The Spouse Track. Registered spouses of ACCU member presidents are welcome to attend all scheduled events of the Annual Meeting, including receptions, meals, and program sessions (excluding the Presidents-Only Business Meeting on Monday morning). The Spouse Track includes panel sessions related directly to the role of spouse in the office of the president, an excursion in Washington, DC, and a “book club” where spouses are invited to read a shared book of relevance to their role and participate in a facilitated discussion during the Track in Washington, DC.
