Mission Leadership Institute
The ACCU Mission Officer Institute is now...
The ACCU Mission Leadership Institute
July 30–August 2, 2017
Lewis University, Romeoville, IL
The duties of the mission officer are varied and numerous. Whether a cabinet-level administrator, part-time faculty member, religious, or layperson, the mission officer is charged with a multitude of diverse tasks and responsibilities. From formation of faculty, administrators, and trustees, to aiding in faculty searches and hiring, fostering community relations, and assisting when controversial issues arise on campus, the mission officer’s role is complex and multilayered. These challenges offer opportunities to collaborate not only across campus, but with both the local and founding religious community as well.
Not just for mission officers!
The Mission Leadership Institute is open to mission committee members, campus ministers who function as mission officers, and all those deeply interested in Catholic identity and university mission. Participants will be able to learn from both extended presentations and from interactive sessions led by experienced mission officers in a week that will help hone a specific and practical action project for the coming academic year.
