About the Meeting
Where Catholic Higher Education Comes Together
In his Apostolic Letter, Drawing New Maps of Hope, Pope Leo XIV describes education as “an act of hope.” No one educates alone, he goes on to say. And, in this time of social upheaval and rapid change, Catholic higher education, in all its diversity, can be “a laboratory of discernment, pedagogical innovation and prophetic witness.” This is the Pope’s challenge for ACCU colleges and universities — and the inspiration for our 2027 Annual Meeting: Unified by Hope.
Annual Meeting sessions are both formative and informative, addressing current issues like artificial intelligence, philanthropy, and immigration. We will focus on growth opportunities in the health sciences and the continuing vitality of theology and philosophy.
It has been said that hope is the virtue that animates all other virtues. And so, we gather in Washington in 2027 as cartographers of hope.
