ACCU is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone, and applying the relevant accessibility standards.

Conformance Status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) define requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. WCAG has three levels of conformance: A, AA, and AAA.

Our WordPress theme and site templates have been assessed against WCAG 2.2 Level AA and are largely conformant. Individual pages, posts, documents, and other content added through the content management system have not yet been fully assessed and may not meet the same standard. We consider the site partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 Level AA on this basis. Partially conformant means that some parts of the content do not fully meet the accessibility standard.

ACCU considers accessibility as part of the ongoing maintenance and publication of website content and has designated staff responsibility for website accessibility.

Compatibility with Browsers and Assistive Technology

This site’s theme and templates were tested in August 2026 with the following combinations, using the latest browser and assistive technology versions available at that time:

  • JAWS with Chrome on Windows 11
  • NVDA with Firefox on Windows 11
  • VoiceOver with Safari on macOS

Mobile devices and mobile assistive technology were not tested as part of this assessment.

This site may not be fully compatible with:

  • Browsers older than the last three major versions
  • Mobile operating systems older than five years

Known Limitations and Alternatives

Despite our best efforts, some parts of this site may not be fully accessible yet. Known limitations include:

  • Individual pages and posts have not yet been reviewed for accessibility. Some may contain issues such as missing alt text, unclear heading structure, or low-contrast text. We are working to review and remediate content over time.
  • Some legacy documents and PDFs may not fully meet current accessibility standards. If you encounter an accessibility barrier, please contact ACCU to request assistance or an alternative format.

The theme and site templates were assessed by AndiSites, an outside accessibility consultancy, against WCAG 2.2 Level AA. See Conformance Status above for detailed scope.
