Our Mission
The Association of Catholic Colleges and Universities, founded in 1899, serves as the collective voice of Catholic higher education. We stand at the intersection of higher education, the Catholic Church, and contemporary society to strengthen and promote the Catholic identity and mission of our member institutions.
Supporting Our Members
Through research, national events, executive consultations, and cooperative programs, ACCU fosters collaboration and idea-sharing across member institutions. Key communications include our electronic newsletter, Update, which highlights current topics, campus news, and association initiatives.
We maintain key relationships with Church leadership—including the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) and the Vatican—as well as national secular and higher education associations to advocate for our members and advance our shared mission.
