2022 ACCU Annual Meeting

"Called Together"

After navigating through the turbulence of the last year and a half, Catholic higher education has proved itself resilient. Perhaps that should be no surprise, considering our sector’s history of steady service and commitment despite obstacles. Often founded on little more than faith and determination, Catholic colleges and universities continue to hold fast to their founding values, while meeting the needs of students and society.

Join us as we are called together – to be in community and to be in person at the 2022 ACCU Annual Meeting. We will discuss the most urgent matters at our institutions that impact all of us. Hear and learn from leading experts as they explore broad topics from a Catholic perspective.

Pandemic Safety Measures for the 2022 Annual Meeting

ACCU has taken a number of precautions to keep our Annual Meeting participants safe during this active pandemic while in-person with us this February. As you prepare for our time with us, we would ask that you review the information below and contact ACCU should you have any additional questions.

All registrants must be fully vaccinated to attend.

There are no other meetings or conferences scheduled in the Capital Hilton during the time of our Annual Meeting. It's just us. You may, of course, encounter individual hotel guests in the halls and public areas.

The hotel requires all its staff to have been vaccinated, wear masks when on the property, and have their temperatures checked daily upon arrival to work. All ACCU staff, vendors, contractors, musicians, graduate student volunteers, and others staffing the meeting will also be fully vaccinated and verified as such by ACCU.

ACCU will follow whatever is required by the District of Columbia at that time regarding mask wearing. At present, the District requires masking on public transportation, in government buildings, and gives stores and restaurants authority to require masks as they wish. The earlier mandate has been relaxed for other gatherings, including hotel guests, though this could change. You, of course, may choose to wear your mask more than is required. Disposable masks will be available throughout the conference for your convenience.

Testing is widely available in the District, and ACCU will provide testing access information upon arrival. If you feel ill before or during the meeting, please do not attend and notify our ACCU staff. We will be happy to discuss any applicable refunds of the unused portion of your registration fee.

Please know hotels are facing some notable challenges with retaining and hiring staff during this pandemic era. The level of service and attention with which you have been accustomed may not be the same as in previous Annual Meetings. Some may have experienced this already as you have traveled and stayed in hotels. ACCU asks for your characteristic grace and patience with the hotel staff in the various meeting, banquet, and lodging settings. They are working under unusual, and in some cases, stressful situations.

We look forward to welcoming you to D.C.!
