2019 Annual Meeting Spouse Track
The spouses of ACCU member presidents are critical contributors to the president's work. ACCU offers several special events just for presidential spouses at its Annual Meeting. Listed below are all the events and offerings included in the registration fee for spouses.
Saturday, February 2: See & Celebrate
Exclusive Excursion for Spouses: The National Museum of African American History and Culture
9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. (times are tentative, based on tour arrangements)
Presidential spouses are invited to gather in the ACCU Presidential Suite for a meet and greet with their peers before the group departs for a guided tour of the museum.
Opening Mass and Evening Banquet
5:00 – 9:00 p.m.
On Saturday evening, all are welcome to attend Liturgy marking the start of the 2019 Annual Meeting. Mass is followed by a reception and our opening Banquet and Awards Ceremony. It's a night of Catholic higher education stars that you won't want to miss!
Sunday, February 3: Meals, Mingling, & More
7:15 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Enjoy breakfast with fellow spouses on this first full day of the 2019 ACCU Annual Meeting. Then, spouses are welcome to attend the plenary sessions, as well as any of the general admission concurrent presentations throughout the day. And don't miss lunch, which will feature remarks by a special guest speaker. The day concludes with an evening reception.
Monday, February 4: Spouses Session
9:00 – 10:30 a.m.
The Intersection of Catholic Identity and Development Efforts
Dan Allen, vice president for advancement at DePaul University, will share his perspective on how Catholic identity and university mission inform fundraising and advancement at a Catholic college or university. Following his presentation, join with other presidential spouses to ask questions, brainstorm ideas, and share best practices.
