Programs & Services


To strengthen and promote the Catholic mission and identity of its member institutions, the Association of Catholic Colleges and Universities provides services designed specifically for trustees, presidents, administrators, faculty, and students at our member colleges. ACCU offers offers timely, targeted programs and services that:

  • Help foster vibrant Catholic identity
  • Support cooperation among members
  • Respond to emerging member needs

Programs and services fall under several categories:

The Voice of Catholic Higher Education

  • Representation of member colleges and universities with the White House, the U.S. Department of Education, and the Washington Higher Education Secretariat
  • Ongoing conversations with the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops, the Congregation for Catholic Education of the Holy See, and other Church officials
  • Regular interaction with local and national media, both secular and religious, on behalf of Catholic higher education
  • Frequent communications on critical developments related to Catholic higher education (for members only)

Support for Catholic Mission and Identity

Publications and Research

  • The peer-reviewed, semi-annual Journal of Catholic Higher Education
  • The quarterly electronic newsletter, Update
  • Special reports and occasional papers
  • Materials to assist in advancing best practices (for members only)
