Welcome to the Association of Catholic Colleges and Universities
The voice of U.S. Catholic higher education
A voluntary association, ACCU was founded in 1899 by 53 delegates from Catholic colleges throughout the United States. Since then, the association has grown fourfold to represent more than 90 percent of accredited Catholic institutions of higher learning in the United States, plus approximately two dozen international universities.
ACCU’s principal purposes are to help member institutions strengthen their stated Catholic mission and to foster collaboration among Catholic colleges and universities.
The 2015 ACCU Mission Officer Institute
June 8-11, 2015
Lewis University, Romeoville, IL
New mission officers: Join us this summer to hone your professional development and become inspired to advance mission in a holistic and meaningful way. Designed around the theme, “The Many Hats of the Mission Officer,” the Institute will feature presentations, discussions, and activities that acknowledge the mission officer’s complex, multifaceted role within the Catholic university community, with a particular emphasis on the mission officer as formator, administrator, and catalyst.
Questions? Contact Fr. Mark Pranaitis, ACCU vice president of operations.
Fair Trade & Catholic Higher Education
The fair trade movement offers a way to respond to the urgent call to promote social justice, the dignity of work, and the wider sharing of resources and development. Download this new booklet from the Association of Catholic Colleges and Universities and be inspired by the examples of ACCU member institutions engaging with fair trade. You can also find more resources on our fair trade page!
